I hold a position as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). My research interests lie in the intersection between supply management, risk management, and organizational studies. I am interested in theoretically and empirically exploring the effects of organizational complexity and supply risk on the sourcing organization of large multi-national corporations (MNCs).

I defended my doctoral dissertation at Politecnico di Milano in 2016, which is titled “Disentangling the Labyrinth of Supply Management in Multi-National Corporations. The thesis is available for download in the following link https://www.politesi.polimi.it/handle/10589/126922

I have spent three years of my doctoral studies in KTH-The Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden and one year in Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI), Milan, Italy. During this period, I had the privilege to be nurtured with an international group of PhD students and scholars in both the universities.

During my doctoral studies, I had the opportunity to give lectures to graduate students of both the universities (KTH and POLIMI) on supply chain risk management, purchasing and supply management, effects of organizational complexity on supply management, and case study methodology.

In my role as an academician in BUET from August 2009 to September 2012, I have taught courses on operations research, ergonomics and safety management, inventory management, operations management, marketing management and supply chain management.
